I have been practising meditation for most of my life and studied with many different teachers and traditions.  I was always looking for the spiritual path that best suited me and Buddhism is that spiritual path and I haven’t looked back.  In my working life as a busy mum of 4 children, I trained as an Aromatherapist and Reflexologist, Life Coach, Hypnotherapist, Yoga Teacher and Counsellor.  I also had my own school training Therapists for many years.  At the same time, as a single parent whilst my children were growing up, for extra income I did various temping secretarial roles which didn’t really suit my nature but provided me with good all round admin skills and enabled me to feed my kids.  These admin skills were brought to bear during my time as a very active member of Bristol Shambhala Meditation Group.  Those skills enabled me to lead the group to getting our own premises.  I was also Director of the Bristol Group for many years and was a Meditation Instructor and teacher.  Since leaving Shambhala a few years back, I now am a member of Tara Mandala and am immersed in the training programs offered by them which have deepened my understanding of Buddhism and how to apply it to my life as a householder.  This understanding often reveals itself through my blogs which I find just flow out of me.  I feel inspired to offer this website as a homage to everything that my life has led me to and to give back to other people.  It hasn’t been an easy life, but it has been so worth everything I’ve gone through to get where I am today.  It is my wish that other people, ordinary people, householders, will find the blessings, peace and contentment that can result in adopting a Buddhist approach to daily life.
